MissionPeak (“MissionPeak”, “Siddhatek”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the MissionPeak mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using MissionPeak, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Categories of Personal Information
Under applicable privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the categories of personal information we collect may include:
- Identifiers (such as name, email address, username, or account credentials)
- Contact information (such as phone number)
- Internet or device activity information (such as usage data, IP address, and interactions with the Service)
- Geolocation data (approximate or precise location if permitted by the user)
- User-generated content (such as posts, messages, photos, and event participation)
- Inferences derived from activity preferences used to personalize features or recommendations
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, profile photo, username, and password.
- Profile Details: Outdoor interests, bio, location preferences, and other optional profile fields.
- Content You Share: Messages, posts, comments, photos, activity logs, and community interactions.
- Feedback & Support: Information you provide when contacting support or participating in surveys.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, IP address.
- Usage Data: Interactions with the app, features used, pages viewed, timestamps.
- Location Information:
- Approximate location (based on IP or device settings).
- Precise location only if you grant permission (e.g., for nearby trails, events, or groups).
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Social Login Providers: If you sign in using Google, Apple, or similar services.
- Analytics Providers: Aggregated usage data to improve performance and reliability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the MissionPeak Services.
- Enable community features such as messaging, groups, events, and outdoor activity sharing.
- Personalize your experience (e.g., recommended groups or trails).
- Enhance safety and trust within the community.
- Communicate with you about updates, support, and service-related notices.
- Analyze usage trends and improve app performance.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent misuse.
MissionPeak does not sell your personal information. MissionPeak does not share your personal information with third-party advertisers. MissionPeak may use information you provide — such as your activity preferences, group memberships, experience level, and general location region — to select and display relevant advertisements within the Service. This targeting is performed entirely within MissionPeak’s own systems. Advertisers specify targeting criteria but receive no personal information about individual users. Only aggregated, non-identifying performance data (such as total impressions and clicks) is shared with advertisers.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share information in the following situations:
3.1 With Other Users
Depending on your privacy settings:
- Your profile information (name, photo, interests)
- Posts, comments, and community activity
- Participation in groups or events
3.2 With Service Providers
Trusted third parties that help us operate MissionPeak, such as:
- Hosting providers
- Analytics tools
- Customer support platforms
- Security and fraud prevention services
These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
3.3 For Legal, Safety, or Compliance Reasons
We may disclose information if required to:
- Comply with applicable laws or legal processes
- Protect the rights, safety, or property of MissionPeak or its users
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues
3.4 Business Transfers
If MissionPeak is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
3.5 Advertising
MissionPeak may display targeted advertisements within the Service using first-party targeting only. Advertisers provide targeting criteria (e.g., “users interested in rock climbing in the Pacific Northwest”); MissionPeak matches those criteria against its own internal data and displays relevant ads. Advertisers receive no information about individual users — only aggregated performance metrics (total impressions, clicks, and conversion rates).
Data used internally for targeting includes activity preferences, experience level, general geographic region (city/region level), group and event categories, and engagement level. The following are never used for advertising: precise GPS location, private messages, health or fitness metrics, full name, email address, or phone number, or data from users who have opted out.
MissionPeak does not use third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking technologies, or advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID). If MissionPeak’s advertising model changes in the future, this Policy will be updated and users will be notified before any personal data is shared externally.
4. Your Choices & Controls
4.1 Account Settings
You can update your profile, preferences, and privacy settings at any time.
4.2 Location Permissions
You may enable or disable location access through your device settings.
4.3 Communication Preferences
You can opt out of non-essential emails or notifications.
4.4 Access, Correction, or Deletion
You may request:
- A copy of your data
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal obligations)
4.5 Advertising Preferences and Opt-Out
Because MissionPeak’s ad targeting is performed entirely within our own systems with no personal data transmitted to advertisers, it does not constitute a “sale” or “share” of personal information under CCPA or applicable privacy laws — and no separate Do Not Sell opt-out is required. If this changes, users will be notified and a CCPA opt-out mechanism will be provided before any change takes effect.
You may nonetheless opt out of first-party targeted advertising at any time via Settings > Privacy > Advertising Preferences or by contacting us at support@siddhatek.com. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be contextual only. Opting out does not affect your access to any features of the Service.
5. Data Retention
MissionPeak retains your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services or as required by law. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time through Settings > Account > Delete Account or by contacting us at support@siddhatek.com.
Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days from active systems and 90 days from backups. Certain data may be retained where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to defend legal claims.
Content already shared with or received by other users may remain visible to them after deletion. To remove specific content, do so manually before submitting your deletion request.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
7. Children’s Privacy
MissionPeak is not intended for individuals under the age of 18 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
8. International Users
If you access MissionPeak from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date and notify you as required by law. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
